Since many of our projects are centered around aging underground utilities, it became important to look for a reliable solution that would save these deteriorating pipes rather than spending time and money to replace them. The Thermoform PVC liner provides a cost-effective solution to this problem.
This PVC pipe lining system is structurally sound and provides a tight fit that the prevents infiltration of any kind including invasive tree roots.It is also environmentally friendly since no chemicals are required for installation… just steam! After installation, no harmful gases or emissions are emitted into the environment and the material does not contain any water-soluble chemicals.
How Does It Work?
Thermoform has a proprietary compound that is used that is not found in any other PVC pipe lining solutions. Once the steam and air pressure is applied to the liner, it causes the liner to expand and form tightly to the contours of a host pipe. Because no new digging or excavation is required, this significantly minimizes the digging up of yards or roads to repair old pipes. It comes in a wide range of diameters and will expand to different shapes, which allows this method to be used on most projects that WBG encounters. As these before and after pictures show, the structural integrity of the pipe is preserved.
