The Best Construction You May Never See
The reason we are awarded many projects is that we consistently bring completion on time and on budget. You may be surprised to learn that you have either walked over or driven over some of our work. We are focused on building trust one project at a time.
Nothing left to chance
Recognizing no two projects are the same, each is started with a clean slate. The needs and goals of the client are investigated with each item meticulously detailed. The construction teams are brought together to evaluate equipment, labor and material needs, and to evaluate potential obstacles, including codes and ordinances, traffic, conflicting utilities, and other nearby construction. Nothing is left to chance. Solving potential problems before the project begins reduces time and costs during construction.
Safety and Training
Walker Building Group, LLC is dedicated to the safety of both its employees and the general public. Paramount to safety is proper training. Rather than train just a few supervisors and depend on them to keep an eye on everything, Walker Building Group, LLC has chosen to train ALL of its employees in all aspects of job safety. Each employee receives training in Hazardous Communication, Crystalline Silica Awareness, Excavation Competent Person, Traffic Control and Flagging, and First Aid and CPR. We are also proud participants in the Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace program. Additional guidance is provided on job sites with weekly “Tool Box Talks” and job-specific safety issues are discussed as needed. Everyone in the company is encouraged to point out any potential hazards they notice. All employees are required to wear the proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) anytime they are conducting business along public rights-of-way, whether or not actual construction is underway. Not only does this make them visible to drivers and pedestrians, but it also provides an air of professionalism, letting everyone know they have a reason to be there.
Licensed and Skilled
Another reason our clients place their confidence in us is that we carry all of the appropriate license classifications to perform a variety of utility work. We have the equipment, capacity, training, experience, and skill set needed to deliver a vast array of infrastructure projects. This has allowed us to complete projects that range from a double-barrel 84” diameter emergency culvert replacement for Metro Nashville Public Works (MPW) to the installation of a 60” diameter waterline, Metro Water Service’s (MWS) largest waterline to date, and everything in between.
