About This Project

Walker Building Group completed substantial, multi-phased stormwater infrastructure improvements in Nashville’s Gra-Mar Acres neighborhood. Phase I included 1,500 CY of excavation and the removal of eight storm drain structures, along with the replacement of over 300 LF of deteriorated corrugated metal pipe (CMP) storm drains utilizing a combined approach: 168 LF of new HERCP was installed while over 115 LF of existing pipe was restored utilizing WBG’s TDOT-approved spray applied liner (SAPL) pipe rehab method. Additional scope included the construction of new concrete channels, a 6’ X 3’ slab bridge, and over 1,030 CY of ditch excavation to redefine drainage ditches.

Following the downstream improvements of Phase I, Phase II included over 3,300 CY of excavation, along with the installation of: 10 new inlets, 592 LF of HERCP, over 56 CY of vertical channels, and 432 LF of 15 – 42” culvert. Scope also included approximately 2,000 CY of drainage ditch excavation.
